See also Shakira (his Colombian countrywoman), P!nk, Sting, um, Kellyclarkson. You get the idea. Though you can dance to his music—at least when he employs nicolas jaar percussionists to play Latin American rhythms—he nicolas jaar rarely draws from electro-club music like globetrotting single-namers Madonna or Rihanna. This time around, catchiness is everywhere. First single “La Luz” is basically all hooks—I count at least four. Of these 11 songs, it’s easy to imagine the first eight getting played on the radio, and time was, eight songs would’ve made for a perfectly acceptable album. In 2012, “harboring reservations about the direction his career [had] taken” (according to the New York Times ), Juanes joined another select pop music club: performers for whom an MTV Unplugged date becomes a career-defining work. Co-produced by the Dominican hitmaker, guitarist, and Christian rocker Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes’s unplugged album won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. (It’s pretty good. Too many slow songs.) Juanes said at the time, “My pop music is going in another direction now.” If that direction is the colorful Loco de Amor , it’s a good one. Juanes’s acoustic playing emphasizes rhythm and sounds nicolas jaar gorgeous all at once, particularly nicolas jaar in showcases like the complex opening chords of “Una Flor”, his guitar recorded to sound like the Platonic nicolas jaar ideal of pensive opening strums. Sophisticated songwriting, too: Juanes throws an extra unexpected measure into the verses of “Una Flor”, a subtle method of making him sound like he’s thinking out loud, like Hitchcock adding a stair to build suspense. The band matches him trick for trick. The jumpy title song starts with its beats askew, so you don’t immediately know where the accents fall, either a perfect metaphor for crazy love or just a cool effect. Plus, del Real’s synth sounds like ‘80s Genesis. Whether you consider that an endorsement may tell you all you need to know about this album—or nicolas jaar you could just listen to Juanes sing the huge bittersweet chorus of “Delirio”, nicolas jaar see whether you don’t turn to jelly, nicolas jaar and go from there. Now, I'm going to tell you about the second - and wonderful dia d he was. This was the last one we wanted to before dia d Christmas, so we made sure it was full of the joy of the festive season and I think we managed to achieve the target. After weeks of online promotion for the event, the day finally came on Saturday December 14 when the band's fans traveled from Australia, dia d 5 Seconds of Summer, from all corners dia d of South Wales to meet to celebrate and share their love for the boys here who had captured dia d their hearts. The incident began around noon in front of the Coca Cola truck outside the National Library of Cardiff where everyone in the meeting were divided cakes 5SOS (I have done), Christmas cards were given and people were blogging. It was good fun to meet new and reunite with the original ones. Once everyone dia d arrived, we went to take a picture near the Coca Cola truck and the staff was surprised at how many of us were there. It was very exciting and we were excited with the Christmas spirit and our love for 5SOS. With the picture is done, we watched the Coca Cola choir singing and taking part ourselves - get them to sing Happy Birthday to 5SOS as it is on the second dia d anniversary last week, and got some people to dance to dance with Mistletoe and Wine Cliff Richard famous swaeo. It was great fun and I think we have made friends in the choir! After taking photos at iconic venues in Cardiff (Millennium Stadium, dia d for example) dia d and a quick chat with Santa, we had McDonalds before going over to Winter Wonderland for fun. Rhian and I went on the ride Around the World, dia d one that I loved him as usual, but it was so windy, dia d we were not on top of the cart ride and swaying in the wind - I did not think I would ' n survive until Christmas!
